Hand watering requires using a breaker and hose to reduce water pressure and to prevent tearing plants down. Usually hand watering is done with a hose.
Mist System
A misting system is a series of misting nozzles that are placed in a tube and are pressurized to provide a spray with droplets between 15 and 50 microns. The mist system requires pressure of at least 500 psi.
Overhead Sprinklers
Overhead sprinklers provide water which is pumped in under pressure and sprayed down onto the plants from flat nozzles. They can be mounted on an overhead network of aluminum pipes or on a stake.
Drip Tubes
Drip tubes is used for irrigation and saves water and fertilizer by allowing water to drip slowly to the plants roots. This includes a network of valves, pipes, and tubes.
Flood Floor
The flood floor system is when the entire floor of the greenhouse is covered with water. A concrete flooring is carefully designed and installed to pitch toward openings in the floor in which irrigation solution enters to flood the floor. The floors can be installed with heating and divided for flooding and bottom warmth.
Fertigation
Fertigation is the application of fertilizers or water soluble products through a watering system.
